It’s moving weekend at the US Open, with the third round continuing on Saturday. American seeds Taylor Fritz and Learner Tien, plus two-time NCAA Champion Michael Zheng from Columbia, play on Saturday, seeking spots in the fourth round. Fritz and Tien play lower-seeded players and Zheng plays unseeded Arthur Gea of France.

Fritz beat American Wildcard Darwin Blanch 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in the first round and Italian Mattia Bellucci 6-0, 6-1, 6-1 in the second round. The IBM Slamtracker gives ninth-seeded Fritz a 54 percent chance to defeat 24th-seeded Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina. Cerundolo and Fritz are the first match at Arthur Ashe Stadium at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Cerundolo won his first-round match 6-4, 6-3, 7-5 over Austrian Filip Misolic and German Jan-Lennard Struff, 5-7, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Cernundolo and Fritz have split their two meetings, with both on clay. Cernundolo won in four sets in the 2023 French Open. Fritz won in three sets at the 2024 ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid.

Fourteenth-seeded Tien plays 17th-seeded Czech Jakub Mensik in the second prime-time match at Louis Armstrong Stadium. Tien beat Nuno Borges of Portugal 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 in the first round and Gael Monfils in his final Grand Slam match 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round.
