A video that is going viral on social media right now shows a little girl approaching an older man in a store because she thinks he is Santa Claus.
The man has a beard and is wearing a dark red shirt, so it’s easy to see how the girl arrived at this conclusion.
The great thing about it is that the man plays along, rather than dismissing the little girl. Her mother, who recorded the incident, can be heard in the background telling her daughter to let Santa know what they are leaving out for him on Christmas Eve. It’s all very touching.
This actually happened back in 2015 in West Virginia, but the video is being shared widely right now in anticipation of Christmas. The message of the story is timeless.

Sophie Jo Riley encountered ‘Santa’ at a Walmart in Hurricane, West Virginia, or so she thought.
She saw Roger Larck’s white beard and red shirt and started up a conversation with ‘Santa’
Larck played along as Riley’s mother recorded with her phone.
The pair talked about her Christmas tree and how she would leave cookies for him.

The kindness this man shows to the little girl is the very spirit of Christmas. America needs more of this.
