Silicon Valley Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya Says Obama the Biggest Political Loser of 2024 | The Gateway Pundit

Barack Obama, the man who once promised “hope and change,” has become the emblem of everything wrong with the Democrat Party’s trajectory.

Obama, who campaigned vigorously for Kamala Harris, framed the election as a choice between values and character.

Despite his efforts, Harris suffered a decisive defeat, with President-elect Donald Trump securing 312 electoral votes to Harris’s 226 and winning the popular vote by nearly three million.

Former Obama Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told the Washington Examiner, “It’s no longer the party of Obama… A good political party knows how to look forward, not backward.”

During the “All-In Holiday Spectacular” special, Silicon Valley billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya has labeled former President Barack Obama as the “biggest political loser of 2024.”

    David Sacks:
Political losers. Who do we got?

    Chamath Palihapitiya:
I mean, I know this is a tough one, too. I’ve already said this, so this is going to be repetitive, but it’s the thing that disappointed me the most, personally. I think the biggest political loser was Barack Obama. It’s the same thing where there were so many of us that literally would have stood in line for hours to just shake his hand. I guess I just revered the idea of who he was. Then I just saw a person that was reduced to, honestly, not telling the truth and doing it repeatedly and repeatedly. It just lost a tremendous amount of cachet that I had for him and the sensation that I had of who he was as a man.

Palihapitiya, known for his investments and as a co-host of the “All-In” podcast, has been vocal about his political realignment.

Earlier this year, he co-hosted a fundraiser for former President Donald Trump, signaling a significant departure from Silicon Valley’s traditionally liberal stance. This event, held in San Francisco, raised $12 million for Trump’s campaign.

This shift is not isolated to Palihapitiya. Other prominent tech figures, including Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, and David Sacks, have openly endorsed Trump, citing concerns over the Democratic Party’s policies on taxation, regulation, and free speech.

Musk, who has contributed at least $199 million to Trump’s pro-America PAC in November, has been particularly vocal, using his platform to amplify conservative voices in Silicon Valley.
