The Charlotte Hornets seem to be in the midst of another lost season, but one bright spot has been guard LaMelo Ball. Ball, who has been one of the most exciting players in the NBA when healthy over the past few years, has actually been able to remain on the court for the most part this season. In 26 games Ball is averaging a career-best 29.6 points per game to go with 7.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds. Unfortunately for Ball and the rest of Buzz city injuries have wreaked havoc on the rest of the roster, and as a result the Hornets bring just a 9-28 record into Friday’s contest with the Chicago Bulls.
Despite the rough year once again when it comes to wins and losses in Charlotte, Ball is rounding into the player Charlotte hoped for when they picked him with the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft.
