The duo, who co-starred in “It Ends With Us,” have been at loggerheads since Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit after their working relationship deteriorated on the set of the project.

During a pre-trial conference, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, revealed that the actor has suffered financial losses ever since Lively filed a sexual harassment suit against him.

Freedman told the judge, Lewis J. Liman, that Baldoni is “financially devastated,” adding that the actor’s “It Ends With Us” producers, Jamey Heath and Steve Sarowitz, and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel have also suffered similar losses.

He also claimed that they have all been “emotionally” affected by Lively’s suit, which was filed while promotion for the film was still ongoing.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he explained that Lively’s accusation has caused a huge stain on Baldoni’s reputation due to the nature of the claims.

According to People Magazine, he told the court, “Not to sound like a 4-year-old fighting a 4-year-old with ‘they started it,’ but in these kinds of cases, once someone says something, it becomes fact: There’s no way to fight against it.”

Freedman’s statement comes after his letter to Liman, in which he alleged that Baldoni and his associates have “suffered damages totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.”

He also claimed they have all been “exiled from polite society” following Lively’s shocking claims.

Earlier reports revealed that Baldoni had lost at least “three jobs” amid the legal turmoil, with a “Pac-Man” project being one of them. The project was said to have been in development since 2022, with the actor reportedly poised to direct.

Despite Baldoni’s personal issues, the negative publicity did not affect his project with Lively. It has reportedly earned $351 million at the global box office from a $25 million budget and garnered rave reviews from critics.

On December 20, Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni, claiming that he sexually harassed and exhibited “disturbing” and “unprofessional” behavior on set that led to a “hostile work environment.”

According to People, she also claimed that Baldoni began a retaliatory public smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation in the wake of the breakdown of their on-set relationship.

Afterward, she released a statement via the New York Times, explaining why she chose to pursue legal action against Baldoni.

“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement.

If all the pre-trial motions are completed in time, the legal feud will culminate in a trial showdown on March 9, 2026.

In response to Lively’s accusation, Baldoni hit back at her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, with a $400 million lawsuit.

In the filing, he included claims of civil extortion, false light invasion of privacy, defamation, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional interference with contractual relations, and more.

The actor also filed a separate $250 million libel suit against the New York Times for publishing Lively’s statement.

He claimed that the outlet used “cherry picked” and altered communications “stripped of necessary context and deliberately spliced to mislead.”

While he has yet to comment publicly on the suit, the actor’s lawyer, Freedman, has released multiple statements, including slamming Lively’s allegations as “false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt.”

Freedman also claimed that Lively filed the suit to “fix her negative reputation,” seemingly referring to the backlash she had faced for her approach to promoting “It Ends with Us.”

More recently, Freedman released bombshell texts between Baldoni and Lively that gave insight into their broken relationship.
