Liberal NY Times Columnist Ezra Klein Illustrates the Hypocrisy of the Left and Confirms Democrats Are Completely Out of Ideas (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Liberal New York Times columnist Ezra Klein is considered a leading political mind by many people on the left, but in his recent appearance on ‘Real Time’ with Bill Maher, he demonstrated that Democrats are truly out of ideas.

It’s important to watch what the left is saying, in order to know where they’re going next and this segment speaks volumes.

In the clip below, Klein says that he thought the best thing about Elon Musk embracing MAGA is that he would sell the idea of electric vehicles to conservatives but that he failed. Naturally, he ignores the fact that it is the left who are currently targeting Tesla dealerships and in some cases even lighting them on fire.

When the subject of deregulation comes up, Bill Maher points out that this is one of the issues that is driving people out of blue states. Klein then suggests that Democrats should simply stop using the word ‘regulations’ and replace it with the simpler sounding word ‘rules.’

That’s a classic liberal move. Don’t address the problem, just change the word.

Partial transcript via Eric Abbenante on Twitter/X:

    Ezra Klein: “I want regulation.”

Bill Maher: “If you have 400000 regulations, and you can’t build a high speed rail, you need someone to come in here.”

Ezra Klein: “We need a new word: You say ‘deregulate’ and a lot of liberals and leftists shut down. It’s such a right coded word. Sometimes you need to deregulate the market. Change the word to rules: Some rules are good, some rules are bad. You want to get rid of bad rules. The things that liberals regulate more is the government itself.

    Watch:

Bill Maher’s panelists have come to the conclusion that the Democrat party has been branded as the party of unnecessary regulations:

In another moment from the same appearance, Klein absurdly suggests that Trump wins over people who don’t think about politics:

Ezra Klein: “Donald Trump wins people who don’t like to think about politics. If you follow news, you voted for the Democrats. If you don’t follow the news, you voted for him.”

Bill Maher panelist claims Trump won with those who ‘don’t follow the news’:
Ezra Klein: “Donald Trump wins people who don’t like to think about politics.
If you follow news, you voted for the Democrats.
If you don’t follow the news, you voted for him. [Trump]

This may all sound ridiculous, but Klein is someone who Democrats listen to and take ideas from. It’s amazing that months on from the election, he could still be this hopelessly out of touch with the American electorate.
