Despite the serious drama behind the scenes, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively hit the TIME100 Gala red carpet looking like Hollywood royalty.

Days before the couple posed for cameras, news broke that Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman are expected to be subpoenaed in a legal battle involving Lively and “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni.

The whole drama that has got everyone talking reportedly began when Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment during the film’s production.

Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Turn Heads At TIME100 Gala

The Hollywood power couple made a striking entrance at the TIME100 Gala, stepping out in full red carpet form as headlines swirled around a growing legal controversy.

Lively, newly named a “Titan” on TIME’s 2025 Most Influential People list, stunned in a bold red gown and shimmering jewelry, while Reynolds kept it classic in a sharp tux.

According to TMZ, the honor places Lively among heavyweights like Michelle Obama and Bill Gates, individuals recognized not just for success but for making “a transformative impact on the world.”

Her husband, Reynolds, received recognition from the publication in 2017 as part of TIME100.

Before stepping onto the TIME100 Gala red carpet with her husband, Lively took a moment to share what the recognition meant to her.

In an Instagram post last week, the actress opened up about being named a “Titan” on TIME’s 2025 Most Influential People list, and the impact of having civil rights leader Sherrilyn Ifill write her profile.

Lively called the moment “surreal,” writing, “To be written about by the great @sherrilynifill is not something I take lightly.” She praised Ifill for shaping not just the nation, but also her own resolve to “never stop believing in a future that’s better and safer for everyone.”

Lively added that her 10-year-old self would be “blown away” by the honor. The post included a black-and-white portrait from the magazine and a snapshot of the excerpt written by Ifill.

Behind the celebration of getting on the TIMES list, Lively’s legal drama off-camera took a turn, bringing two of Hollywood’s biggest names into the picture.

The Blast reported that Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were expected to be subpoenaed in the ongoing legal case involving Lively and Baldoni.

A source revealed on April 22 that both stars would “most definitely be served this week” and that the timing of the subpoenas could “happen at any time.”

They also pointed out that Swift and Lively have not been seen together publicly since the lawsuit made headlines. The singer is known to be close to Lively, while Jackman has been a longtime friend of Reynolds.

As legal tensions escalated between Lively and Baldoni, questions surfaced about how much the pop star may have been involved behind the scenes. It is worth noting that while Swift did not appear in the movie, one of her songs, “My Tears Ricochet,” was featured in the trailer and soundtrack.

There was also talk that Swift had some influence on script changes and casting decisions, though her exact role was never confirmed. Additionally, in August 2024, during an interview, Lively opened up about Swift’s connection to the film, saying the singer had been by her side “throughout this whole process.”

She described the project as a “small budget movie” and admitted they never expected to secure one of Swift’s songs, adding that the artist later gave her blessing to use the track.

Apart from Lively’s previous statements, past interviews also pointed to Swift playing a quiet but key role in the film’s casting process. In an Access Hollywood interview, Baldoni admitted that Swift helped pick Isabela Ferrer to play the younger version of Lively’s character.

He said he showed Ferrer’s audition tape to both Lively and Swift, and they instantly agreed. “They were both, like, ‘Yes! Her.’ And that’s a true story,” Baldoni recalled.

Ferrer herself seemed to back up that story at the film’s premiere, stating that the singer had “some influence” in her landing the role.

“I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be saying it, but I’m saying it!” the budding actress noted, adding that she only found out about Swift’s involvement after being cast, which “rocked” her world.
