The Duchess of Sussex’s unique parenting tip has caused a ruckus among online users who have a thing or two to say about her e-approach, which her kids will not even know until nearly two decades later.

Meghan Markle has been under the public microscope since marrying Prince Harry. The scrutiny propelled their move to California, and it still continues to trail their other ventures.

In a heartfelt interview on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show,” the Duchess of Sussex opened up about her parenting journey, revealing a touching bedtime ritual with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Appearing makeup-free and dressed casually, Meghan shared how she writes nightly emails to her kids, creating a personal digital time capsule filled with everyday moments and expressions of love.

The actress was inspired by a friend’s idea of setting up secret email accounts for their children, where she could send messages and photos that may not fit traditional frames.

Her emails include relatable snapshots from their daily lives; everything from messy breakfasts to amusing quotes and playful moments with their dog. She plans to present Archie and Lilibet with access to their accounts when they reach adolescence.

“I am sending my kids an email every night. By the time they are 18, there will be around 4,000-plus emails waiting for them. Here’s everything and every moment that I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you,” she said, holding back tears, adding:

“It’s about ‘I see you. I’m nurturing you, and I see you so deeply.’ And I’m just so proud of them.”

Since stepping back from royal duties, Meghan’s intimate revelations have reignited interest in the Sussex family and their life in California. The comment section of Jamie Kern Lima’s YouTube page gained over 11k comments and reactions from the nearly 250k viewers.

Another YouTube subscriber insisted the interview was unnecessary,  as one more described it as “the best accidental comedy in the world right now.”

A clip from the podcast video has gone viral on X and gained over 13 million views and over 2k comments, including one user who wrote: “She is so narcissistic that her narcissism has narcissism…”

Another commenter added, “Guess what? In 16 years, your children might not be anywhere in your orbit, or writing books of their own! This is so creepy that she is planning to traumatize them in their future.”

The actress gained a few supporters amid the chaotic comment section, as one user wondered why “people hate her so much.” A fourth commenter applauded the idea, encouraging Meghan and other parents to “capture those small moments.”

As the conversation went on, Meghan was pleasantly surprised when she received a heartfelt letter from her children, transcribed with the help of Prince Harry.

As she read the note aloud, her eyes filled with tears. The message expressed their love for her cooking, particularly her pancakes, and highlighted her affectionate nature as “the best mummy.”

Meghan was visibly touched by the words, taking a moment to compose herself as the sentiment resonated with her. She noted the significance of the term “mummy,” reflecting her family’s blend of American and British cultures.

Throughout the discussion, Meghan emphasized that grand gestures or social media highlights do not characterize true motherhood. Instead, she believes the quiet, everyday expressions of love hold the most significance, often going unnoticed but deeply felt.
