SEOUL: Kim Yo Jong, the highly effective sister of North Korean chief Kim Jong Un, criticised the presence of a US nuclear submarine within the South Korean port of Busan, state media KCNA mentioned on Tuesday (Sep 24).

Kim referred to as it a proof of US ambition to “carry out its nuclear strategic belongings, exhibit its power and improve threats”, in keeping with KCNA.

The USS Vermont arrived at a naval base in Busan on Monday to resupply and permit crew members to relaxation, Yonhap information company mentioned citing South Korea’s navy.

Kim’s printed remarks got here after the international ministers of South Korea, the USA and Japan held a gathering on Monday on the sidelines of the UN Normal Meeting.

They expressed considerations about North Korea’s latest revelation of its uranium enrichment amenities and continued “illegal” army cooperation with Russia, and agreed to work towards realising a trilateral summit inside this yr, South Korea’s international ministry mentioned in an announcement.
