Fever lose again and have reason to worry playing without Clark

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark is dealing with a left groin issue, which left her watching Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks on the sidelines as her Indiana Fever lost, 85-75.

That’s not to say that Clark wasn’t involved in the game. Her trademark fire and passion was on display, even in street clothes. At one point she was arguing with one of the referees about a call.

That led to Sparks star Kelsey Plum lobbying with the ref to give Clark a technical for stepping on the court. In the grand scheme of Clark’s altercations, it was a relatively low-stress moment. It was still a moment worth noting, though, because that was the only impact the former No. 1 overall pick could make on the game due to the injury.
