Coldplay frontman Chris Martin‘s uncomfortable reaction to the viral couple who were seemingly having an affair has been captured in a new footage of the awkward moment.

The couple, who have since been identified as Andrew Byron, CEO of AI firm Astronomer, and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, were caught in an embarrassing embrace when the kiss cam focused on them.

Following the drama, netizens slammed the viral couple, with many accusing them of cheating at the Coldplay concert.

Chris Martin Reacts With Regret After The Viral Couple Hid Their Faces From The Camera

New footage of Martin reacting to the now-viral couple from his concert has emerged.

In the clip, Martin can be seen telling the crowd, “I don’t know what to do” after spotting the couple hiding their faces when they appeared on the big screen during the show.

As the audience erupted with laughter after the statement, he added, “Oh sh-t, I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

Martin had previously been seen reacting to the couple being caught on camera in a different clip taken by a Coldplay Fan.

In the footage,  he seemed to assume that the duo were having an affair, which their reaction and speculations online have seemed to confirm.

“Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” Martin could be heard saying over his microphone as he stood on stage.

Within hours of the video going viral, the couple was quickly identified as Andrew Byron, CEO of AI firm Astronomer, and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot.

Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, was also identified, as netizens flooded her Facebook page with clips of the Coldplay kiss cam video, in an attempt to notify her of the alleged affair.

It didn’t take long for Megan to remove her husband’s last name from her social media page, ultimately deleting her account along with all the happy images of her, Byron, and their kids.

Unsurprisingly, the entire drama brought a heavy dose of reaction from netizens who slammed the cheating couple online.

“Why do people cheat? If you are unhappy in your marriage or relationship, there’s the door. Leave it. Don’t cheat. Gross and immature behavior,” one wrote.

“The way they reacted made it so obvious they were having an affair… see how cheaters are not only pieces of sh-t they’re also stupid as f-ck,” another user said.

One more person added, “Having an affair and going on dates is kinda crazy because do you not fear anything?! Like nothing at all?!”

Interestingly, Cabot had only joined Byron’s company in November and had received praise from the tech ceo for her “exceptional leadership” and “deep expertise in talent management.”

At the time, Byron also called Cabot a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies, which, among other accolades, he claimed made her a perfect fit for his company.

Meanwhile, Cabot echoed the enthusiasm in her own statement, sharing that she felt “energized” after conversations with Byron and the leadership team about the company’s future.

She emphasized her approach as being focused on “people strategy,” adding, the “real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy.”

Cabot shared, “There are plenty of companies out there where a leadership team doesn’t recognize the value that a strong people leader and people team can bring to a company. It’s not just about benefits or catered lunches. There’s so much more to it, and I was energized in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here.”

Astronomer Has Launched An Internal Investigation Into The Duo

Byron’s software company, Astronomer, has since announced that it is launching an internal investigation into the viral video of the CEO and HR chief at Coldplay’s concert.

In a statement on LinkedIn, the company said, “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.”

It continued, “The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter, and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

Despite the online buzz over the Boston incident, Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” world tour continues without disruption.

The Boston show marked just one stop on the record-breaking global tour that has kept fans talking since its launch in 2022.

The band’s next stop is at Camp Randall in Madison, Wisconsin, on July 19. Tickets for the concert are reportedly already sold out, although resale tickets are still currently available on Ticketmaster.

The lowest-priced options are currently around $633 but can go as high as $1,795 for those looking to purchase floor general admission tickets closer to the stage.

After the Wisconsin stop, the band is slated to perform in Nashville (July 22) and Miami (July 26-27). Afterward, they will return to the UK for shows in August, with the tour expected to wrap up in London this September.
