    Re: “‘Alligator Alcatraz’: Another shameful episode in American history” (July 18, Opinion):

    I have enjoyed Dave Horsey’s cartoons for many years. Some are hilarious; some make me think. The “Sites of American Infamy” cartoon was shocking, but oh so true.

    Hopefully his efforts will help people wake up to what is going on (whether one is a Democrat, Republican or independent).
