Re: “Seafair: End Blue Angels shows” (July 29, Northwest Voices):

Good grief! Seattle celebrates its maritime, flight and boating heritage a few days of the year and a small vocal group protests. Well then, move to a city that better fits your ideals.

The vast majority of us in Seattle and surrounding cities enjoy celebrating the pomp and ceremony of Seafair complete with visits from Navy ships, parades, roaring hydroplanes, and, yes, the thrill of experiencing the Blue Angels over Lake Washington. To my mind, it’s “energy” well spent. Lighten up!

    Claud Johnson, Bellingham
