Trainor stunned fans with a social media video that left many questioning if it was even her. The singer, best known for her 2014 hit “All About That Bass,” has slimmed down dramatically in recent months, and her new look sparked a wave of reactions online.

In the clip, Trainor joined the “Nicki Minaj High School challenge,” which dares participants to balance on unusual objects while crossing their legs and standing on one foot — all while wearing heels.

For her attempt, the “Made You Look” singer carefully perched on an upside-down dumbbell. The stunt is far from harmless, though. Just weeks ago, a Russian influencer reportedly suffered a severe spinal injury after falling during the same challenge.

Thankfully, Trainor made it through without incident, captioning her post with a relieved “Never again,” hinting that this will be her first and last time taking on the viral craze.

Although Trainor disabled comments on her original post, the clip quickly spread across other platforms and sparked a wave of reactions.

Many were stunned by her transformation, with countless users asking questions like, “Is that Meghan Trainor?” or saying that she looks “so different” in the new video clip.

Meanwhile, Trainor has been candid about her health journey, revealing she shed 60 pounds after struggling mentally and physically following the birth of her first child, Riley, with husband Daryl Sabara in 2021.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada in 2022, the singer recalled weighing over 200 pounds at the time of her C-section, admitting, “I was, like, over 200 pounds [90kg] when I C-sectioned him out. I just wasn’t feeling great. I’ve never had stitches, so to have this C-section scar, I was in a really dark place, and I wanted to be in a great place for my son.”

Since then, the “Been Like This” singer has openly discussed how science and smarter fitness habits helped her transformation.

Speaking on the red carpet chat earlier this year, she explained, “I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about]. I was working out so incorrectly for so long. I was running and doing cardio, and my body was inflamed, always inflamed. Hates it.”

Now, she’s more focused on “biohacking” and taking advice from medical experts. “So anything that’ll help me age backward, I’m into it,” she said, per the New York Post.

Trainor has also been candid about cosmetic surgery, proudly describing herself as “an open book.”
