Britney Spears Reportedly Struggling After Her Conservatorship

Britney Spears is reportedly struggling in the aftermath of her conservatorship, with reports claiming that the pop icon has chosen to isolate herself.

The singer is also reportedly refusing the professional help she needs to manage her mental health struggles, instead choosing to indulge in social media antics that have only heightened concerns about her well-being.

The revelation comes just days after Britney Spears went viral for posting a video that showed her home in disarray, with dog feces smeared across the floor.

Amid a series of social media antics that have left netizens concerned for Britney Spears’ health, sources close to the pop star are now offering a glimpse into what her life has been like behind the scenes since gaining freedom from her conservatorship.

According to an insider, the singer has chosen to isolate herself in her Los Angeles home and is accompanied only by hired help on the rare occasions she ventures out in public.

“She has people like staff, security guards, assistants, no real friends,” an insider revealed, per Page Six.

Spears was also described as “the sweetest, kindest person.” However, her behavior and tendency to isolate herself have led friends to believe an intervention is needed, though they remain unsure how to approach it.

“We’re always concerned about Britney and her well-being and making sure if she’s okay. The question is ‘how do we help her?” a source told the outlet.

Insiders Criticize Absence Of Care Plan For Britney Spears After Conservatorship

Insiders also claimed that helping Spears would be difficult even if they found a way, as she is now an independent woman, unlike during her conservatorship.

They added that ending the conservatorship without putting any system in place to prevent her from spiraling out of control may not have been the right decision in the first place.

“She is a free woman, and because a judge never looked at her medical history when they freed her from this conservatorship, we’re seeing what this looks like in the public eye right now,” said a different source.

The source continued, “We try to help and support, but ultimately, you can only lead the horse to water. There is no continued care program [since] she got out of the conservatorship.”

Further complicating matters, Spears reportedly “doesn’t believe she has a problem” and cannot be forced into therapy or any kind of mental health evaluation.

“The law in California is that you cannot force anyone for a mental evaluation,” said the insider.

Just days ago, Spears showed more signs of spiraling out of control after posting clips of herself on social media that revealed her mansion in disarray.

The footage showed dog poop left unattended on the floor, while the singer appeared wearing very revealing clothing, similar to what she has worn in recent videos.

At the time, someone within Spears’ family told Page Six that they said they are “worried” about the singer and “terrified for her future.”

The insider further remarked, “Her house is a mess. She doesn’t clean up after the dogs, she doesn’t have someone there cleaning every day, and she just isn’t functioning like an adult would function.”

For now, the one silver lining for Spears amid her struggles is her ongoing reconciliation with her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The boys had previously moved to Hawaii in 2023 to live with their father following a strained relationship with Spears that became public in 2022.

However, a source told Us Weekly that she and her sons are now “healing together,” a claim seemingly confirmed by a post from Spears in which she admitted that the “hardest years” of her life were the ones spent estranged from her children.

“The boys are maturing, and they want their mom in their lives, and Britney is really happy about that. She’s so grateful to have them in her life. She feels whole again,” the insider continued.

According to a different source, Spears has Jayden to thank for the progress in their reconciliation, as he was the one pushing for it the most.

“He always knew they’d find their way back to each other eventually, but he’s grateful that it happened sooner than later,” the insider remarked.

They added that the mother and son duo “have had a close bond since he was very young.”
