Meghan Markle celebrated International Day of the Girl with a rare photo of Princess Lilibet, sharing an empowering message for young girls.

The post followed the duchess and Prince Harry‘s recognition as Humanitarians of the Year at the Project Healthy Minds Gala, where they discussed the importance of protecting children online.

Meghan Markle has been on a roll, as she also made a splash at the Paris Fashion Week debut for the Balenciaga show, supporting new Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli earlier this month.

Meghan marked International Day of the Girl with a rare glimpse of her daughter, Lilibet, in an Instagram post.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a sweet photo of herself walking hand-in-hand with four-year-old Lilibet in the lush gardens of their Montecito home.

Her caption carried an empowering message: “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, and support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ’em, girl! Happy International Day of the Girl.”

In the photo, Meghan gazes fondly at her daughter, dressed in a white linen shirt and matching trousers, while Lilibet looks adorable in a pink tee and denim jeans.

The post follows Meghan and Prince Harry’s recent recognition as “Humanitarians of the Year” at Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala, held on Thursday.

During the event, the couple took to the stage to accept their award and shared heartfelt remarks about parenting in the digital era.

Meghan reflected, “Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old. Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits, while safeguarding against its dangers.”

She went on to highlight the growing challenge of shielding children from online harm, adding, “That hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Harry echoed her sentiments, calling this “a pivotal moment in our collective mission to protect children and support families in a digital age.”

At the gala, Project Healthy Minds recognized Harry for his work as a humanitarian, mental health advocate, environmentalist, and military veteran. At the same time, Meghan was celebrated as a mother, wife, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

After the Gala, Harry and Meghan made an appearance at the World Mental Health Day Festival in New York City on Friday, where their Archewell Foundation hosted a series of insightful panel discussions. The couple engaged with attendees, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being in the digital era.

Harry opened the first session, titled “Thriving or Surviving: How Are Young People Doing in the Digital Age?”, with a powerful message.

“Today is more than just about conversation – it’s about community,” he said, according to People Magazine. “Young people learning to navigate a digital world that wasn’t designed with their well-being. This is what we’ve discovered. Maintaining good mental health isn’t just an individual challenge; it is a community responsibility. Approach this way, everybody wins. That’s what today is about.”

Meghan later took the stage, dressed in tailored high-waisted trousers and a chic striped blouse, her hair neatly swept into an elegant updo.

She introduced the second discussion, “How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Caused an International Mental Health Crisis — and How We Can Reverse It,” which explored ways to restore balance in children’s lives.
