    Thank you for publishing Bret Stephens’ column (“Now the left cares about free speech again,” Sept. 26) about the left’s sudden concern about free speech, in which he lists numerous examples from recent years demonstrating their very obvious lack of interest in this vital freedom.

    I wrote a letter about this just a couple days ago and figured it would not be published because it dared to reference the abrogation of free speech during the covid years. But, Stephens rightfully mentioned this too and you still published it. Thank you, and there is still hope for our nation.
