Kristen Bell’s ‘Nobody Wants This’ Co-Star Defends Her

Apparently, Kristen Bell has not been completely abandoned amid the backlash following her controversial anniversary post.  Her “Nobody Wants This” co-star, Tovah Feldshuh, stepped forward in solidarity with the actress, praising her humanity.

The numerous comments and calls from her fans for Bell to take down the post and apologize have all fallen on deaf ears, as she has remained silent and taken no action.

Still, the “Good Place” actress is not just unpopular among fans who have termed her post insensitive. Close sources have confirmed Bell’s silence has unearthed deep-rooted grudges among those close to her.

    Kristen Bell’s Co-Star Gives A Heartfelt Defense

Tovah Felshuh, who played Bina in “Nobody Wants This,” took to Instagram over the weekend to express her admiration for her co-star. However, she didn’t allude to the anniversary post or the reason behind the appreciation post.

The post showed a heartwarming photo of the two stars sweetly embracing. Feldshuh captioned it, “With my beloved Kristen Bell, one of the finest human beings I know.”

The 76-year-old actress continued her heartfelt message praising Bell’s talent, beauty, and character. “Her humanity parallels her beauty and her talent, all of which are embracing and immense,” she added.

The timing of Felshuh’s post raises eyebrows, as it comes after Bell was heavily criticized for being insensitive. The controversy began when the “Bad Moms” star celebrated her 12th wedding anniversary on Instagram with the caption:

“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.”

The note was not received well by many, who saw it as trivializing the pain and suffering of the women who were experiencing domestic violence.

The timing of the post did Bell no favors either, as it was shared during Domestic Violence Awareness month. Many urged the actress to delete the post and issue a public apology.

However, sources close to the “Gossip Girl” star stated that she has no intentions of doing either.

According to The Blast, an insider shared that, despite numerous calls for the post to be taken down, Bell will not be told what to do. “She doesn’t want to be told how to live her life or be bullied into doing something she doesn’t want to do,” explained the informant.

The insider noted Bell believed the anger directed at her was misplaced, as she did nothing wrong and would do it all over again.

This exact reaction is supposedly one that has caused unresolved issues to resurface among her friends.

The Insider further revealed that many of Bell’s friends saw the backlash she was getting from the post as long overdue.

“Many close to Kristen are happy she is getting heat over her comments because she often never sees how her words, whether she thinks she says them in jest or not, can actually hurt people,” the source stated.

They alleged that Bell behaved as if she could do no wrong, always embodying a “better than you” mentality in her friend circle. As a result, it is unlikely that she will ever apologize.

“It is not a surprise that she hasn’t apologized, because she doesn’t ever think she is wrong,” the informant added.

Not only has Bell’s silence affected her inner circle, but experts believe it is a costly decision for her career. According to The Blast, crisis management expert Eric Schiffer advised that Bell should be accountable for her actions.

“Silence here reads brutally ugly. Kristen needs to own it, then move forward. Let people know she trivialized abuse and apologize,” he warned.

He noted that, given her position as a public figure, not responding in this case “reads like ugly contempt.”

The 45-year-old actress not only stayed silent, but she also went AWOL. She opted out of a “Today” show interview on October 22 without giving a reason.

However, she soon came out of hiding, making her first public appearance since the scandal at New York City’s 92nd Street Y.

As reported by The Blast, Bell was dressed in a mournful all-black outfit comprising a floral-print top, palazzo pants, and a leather jacket.  She completed the look with minimalist jewelry.
