One month ago, Quinnen Williams was chasing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and company around in a 37-22 loss for the New York Jets. But next week, he’ll don the Star after Dallas sent a first and second-round draft pick along with former first-round selection Mazi Smith to the Jets for Williams.
Williams was the third-overall pick in the 2019 draft and has made three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team in his first six seasons. His most productive season came in 2022, when he recorded 55 tackles and 12.0 sacks to earn first-team All-Pro honors. Dallas is hoping that he will be a difference maker on a defense that has been one of the worst in the entire league this season.
Heading into their bye week, the 3-5-1 Cowboys have allowed the second-most points and yards-per-game, trailing only the Cincinnati Bengals.
