The Duke of Sussex is said to have looked “fed up” while attending the event, while his wife, who was all cheers as she mingled with other attendees.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among a bevy of stars that graced the 70th birthday anniversary of Kris Jenner.

The event, which was hosted by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez at their $165 million Beverly Hills estate last Saturday, had names like Beyoncé and Jay Z, Martha Stewart, Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton, Adele, and all the Kardashians on the guest list.

However, it is Harry and Meghan’s attendance that has left a sour taste in the mouth of some, with one palace insider telling Page Six that “it’s so tacky.”

“It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the source said.

The Duke Allegedly Looked ‘Fed Up Of Being Paraded’

The couple looked elegant as they turned out in formal attire for the James Bond-theme party, but the Duke of Sussex set tongues wagging as he looked “fed up” in photos seen from the exclusive soiree.

Royal expert Tom Bower told the Daily Mail that getting an invite to the event must have been a “big plus” for the former “Suits” actress. However, he noted that “Harry is unable to stage the rictus smile which actress Meghan always displays for the cameras.”

Bower went further to note that Harry may be worried about his brother, Prince William, especially after the full-blown demotion of their uncle, ex-Prince Andrew.

“He looks fed up being paraded, one day at a sports match and on another day at a celeb party,” Bower stated. “Clearly, he is now worried [about] what revenge his brother might one day carry out against himself and his ambitious wife.”

Harry and Meghan seem to have fallen out of favour with some of their former Hollywood pals, as they’ve missed out on getting some of the most sought-after invitations to events.

Last year, they missed out on getting an invite to Jeff Bezos’s 60th birthday party, despite the fact that it was held close to their Montecito home. Now, Bower says she has since “ordered her staff to secure invitations for major celebrity events” in a bid to be noticed in Hollywood.

“The Duchess has become not so much a guest-for-hire but a guest searching for publicity,” the royal expert said. “And this time she has landed a major party trophy. For the first time, she is mixing with A-list celebs. That’s a great coup for a Duchess searching for security and approval.”

Harry and Meghan dropped their royal roles in 2020 amid strained ties with the royal family, after which they made several allegations in interviews and a memoir.

At the time when they got married, she had to place an indefinite pause on her acting career, but reports suggest she’ll now be making a return to the profession.

The duchess of Sussex would be playing a version of herself in the movie “Close Personal Friends,” written by “This Is Us” creator Isaac Aptaker and directed by Jason Orley.

A source recently commented on her first day on set, telling People Magazine that she seemed “very relaxed” during filming, which is taking place in Pasadena, California.

“She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth,” the source said.

Harry has no issues with the move and is understood to be “supportive” of her as he wants her to do “whatever brings her joy.”

An insider told The Sun that she has received many offers since she quit her royal role, but had seemingly been declining everything. However, this one “just felt right.”

“It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set,” the source said. “Everyone involved is super-excited, and has been sworn to secrecy about her involvement.”
