Are things finally looking brighter in the Garden State?

During BravoCon 2025, Melissa Gorga opened up about the state of her relationship with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, revealing that they’ve finally reconnected and are hoping to move forward for good.

Melissa Gorga Gives Hopeful Status Update On Her Relationship With Teresa Giudice

While speaking with Extra, Melissa explained that she recently met with her sister-in-law after years of estrangement and that she hopes they can finally get things right.

“We are in a different place we than we were a couple months ago. Let’s just say that… everybody’s working on it. We’re working on it. We’re trying to move forward and we’ve, you know, hashed a lot of things out privately without all of this. And I think that’s a good thing,” she said.

Melissa hinted that, while her and her husband’s reunion with Giudice was unexpected, she’s happy they reconnected when they did.

“Whatever it takes to wake someone up is, you know, that’s how life goes, right? And you never want it to be a funeral or a wedding or someone in the hospital. Like, that’s not what we want. So, this was a more of a natural reason,” she said.

Melissa, her husband Joe, and his biological sister, Giudice, have been feuding on and off for the last decade on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Things reached a boiling point after season 14 aired in 2024, when Giudice declared she’d never speak to her family again after another explosive round of episodes chronicling their intense family drama.

“We just want to fix it, and we want to get back together. And for the kids, you know, we have little kids that are, you know, teenagers too that are watching this and behavior repeats itself. And that’s never what I want to see happen,” Melissa said.

Melissa’s comments come just weeks after Giudice admitted she was open to reconciling with her brother and sister-in-law during a podcast appearance, saying, “Time does heal all wounds. And when time goes by, you forget things.”

Like Melissa, Giudice also reflected on the example she’s setting for her four daughters by keeping her family out of her life.

“Gia and I were on Special Forces. We spent a lot of time together before we went on Special Forces, and we talked a lot about a lot of things. So I want to be a good example for my children,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” OG said, according to The Blast.

“Be a beautiful family,” she said. “If someone doesn’t get along, be the bigger person. Try to make it work. I’ve got to practice what I preach.”

While fans will likely have to wait a bit longer to get a glimpse into Melissa and Giudice’s new normal, the “Sprinkle by Melissa Gorga” owner expressed optimism about their future.

“We can always be hopeful that it’s going to be different this time around, but I think I think everyone’s growing. I do. I think we’re learning from our mistakes and we’re growing and we all know that we’ve made mistakes and I think that’s a huge part of it,” she said.

Giudice also gave an update on her relationship with her family during BravoCon 2025, saying they’re in a “good place.”

“I talked to my brother, first — because I thought that was only right — he was like, really happy to see me. I was happy to see him,” she said.

Does Melissa And Giudice’s Reunion Mean A ‘RHONJ’ Return?

So, could Melissa and Giudice’s reconciliation mean there’s a greater chance of seeing them both on the next season of “RHONJ”? It’s hard to say, but Andy Cohen seemed to hint at their reunion being one of the reasons the series is still on pause.

“They have to do this for themselves. It should have nothing to do with us,” he said to Us Weekly.

Melissa later shared her thoughts on the possibility of “RHONJ” getting new cast members, saying a switch-up is much needed.

“I would love to stay and I hope I do, but I do think we need a little of both,” she said. “I don’t think it works when they just, like, wipe the slate clean. I think they like the familiar faces and we always need some, like, new, fun, crazy — whatever — to jump in.”
