Devin Williams’ first season in the Big Apple as a member of the New York Yankees didn’t go to plan, and now he’s going to try his luck across town. The two-time National League reliever of the year is returning to the N.L. after signing a three-year contract with the New York Mets.
Williams had periods in 2025 when he looked like the dominant closer the Yankees hoped to acquire last offseason, but had a tough time in pinstripes. Williams made 67 appearances in the regular season, posting a 4.79 ERA in 62 innings with 90 strikeouts while surrendering 25 walks and five home runs. He was also credited with six losses and four blown saves.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Williams was named N.L. Rookie of the Year in 2020 and N.L. Reliever of the Year in 2020 and 2023. With that being said, can you name every pitcher to be named a Reliever of the Year since 1995?
