State budget: ‘Reduce expenses’ | The Seattle Times

Re: “Ferguson backs WA income tax on millionaires” (Dec. 23, Business):

Gov. Bob Ferguson is correct in repeatedly saying there is an “affordability crisis” in the state.

Voters can no longer afford elected officials’ failure to control the state budget. It is much easier to implement new taxes than to actually reduce expenses.

Let’s start with elected officials taking a 10% pay cut to help balance the bloated budget.
