    Venezuela: Respect for American values is shattered

    Re: “Trump: U.S. will ‘run’ Venezuela” (Jan. 4, A1):

    My father died in World War II. My husband served in Korea. I am appalled at President Donald Trump’s use of our military to serve his political agenda in Venezuela. He has shattered any semblance of respect for American values of integrity and respect for the law.

    I am embarrassed and heartbroken for our country.
