    IN THE NEWS: Stuck with a $35 billion budget gap, the Sound Transit board has rejected an alternative plan aimed at getting a light rail line built to Ballard from Westlake.

    Folks in Ballard have long been promised they’d be added to the rail system by 2035. Now, it may never happen, or, if it does, it may arrive about the time everyone is flitting around on personal helicopters, like the Jetsons.
