Kim Kardashian Not Having A Picture-Perfect Holiday With Her Kids

The reality star has documented her attempts to involve her four kids in the festivities via a cute family picture, but apparently, they were not on board with the plan.

Kim Kardashian welcomed North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with her ex-husband and rapper, Kanye ‘Ye’ West, before their split in 2021.

The star hopped on Instagram with behind-the-scenes shots of her attempts to capture a cute family moment with her four kids. Unfortunately, the reality star’s attempts did not pay off because North and Saint were not very pleased to be in any of the frames.

10-year-old Saint was spotted donning a poker face stare at the camera in the first frame before he finally gave a very low effort smile in the fourth frame while they sat on the chair.

Chicago and Psalm were pretty much cooperative throughout the entire picture process, striking cute poses while they watched their elder siblings carry on with their rebellion. North, on her end, did not give the camera a chance until the last slide, where she featured in a short clip alongside her darling mother.

Despite the chaotic scene, the West kids kept it very serious in the fashion department. Saint appeared pristine in a white-on-white ensemble, accompanied by his cream and black highlights afro.

Chicago and Psalm stuck with a black and brown palette for their wardrobe choices, including a side of faux fur, while North rocked a complete denim ensemble with a black purse and flashy black and green hairdo.

Kim accompanied the post with the caption “I really tried.” Several fans, followers, and some of her celebrity friends showed up in the comment section with testimonies of their experiences with their kids, who also did not want to take pictures.

The reality star’s close pal, Malika Haqq, noted that the struggle is real with the kids, but Kim can remain joyful at the fact that she has them. Another close friend of Kim, Tracy Romulus, left a heart eye, laughing, and heart emoji right under the post.

A third commenter stressed how relatable the situation is, noting that their kids also do not take pictures with them anymore. This user compared the West kids’ personalities to their dad’s, concluding that “Saint is like his Daddy.”

“Kim’s version of trying is serving luxe mom mode while making memories, iconic,” one more fan declared under the post.

This is not the first time Kim’s babies have sabotaged her plans to give the fans a family picture for the festive period. Back in 2022, US Magazine stated that Kim explained her frustration about North’s boycott of a Christmas family photo moment.

She acknowledged that the Christmas period remained an iconic one in their family, and growing up, her mother, Kris Jenner, would always gather all the kids for a yearly Christmas card.

Kim continued that the shoot was also an attempt for her to cheer things up following the drama that happened with Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson at the time.

The business mogul noted in the confessional of their family show that the holiday card shoot will turn out so stressful, as she already tried to gather her four kids in a family picture alongside Ye at the time, but it was not successful.

“They always cry. Nobody gets along. Most of the photos I saw were unusable because North was sticking out her middle finger…Yeah, it’s a lot. It’s just a lot being a mom,” the SKIMS founder emphasized.

When the star and her estranged husband got together in 2013, it was a match made in heaven as Kim confessed that she was captivated by Ye’s larger-than-life personality.

Unfortunately, the rapper’s mental health issues and constant outbursts caused a strain in the marriage, forcing Kim to take the exit after years of hoping this would improve.

The Blast stated that in hindsight, Kim now sees her decision as a necessity to teach her kids the concept of establishing boundaries in unpleasant situations.

“But when someone isn’t willing to make changes that I think would’ve been super healthy and beneficial, it makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,” the actress continued.

She also addressed Ye’s previous claims that she was preventing him from spending time with the kids. According to Kim, “I raise the kids full-time. They live with me, and I welcome a great, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that.”
