The former Duchess of York has largely stayed out of sight for months, but friends now claim the pressure has intensified.

As police investigations expand and old Epstein ties resurface, insiders say Ferguson feels cornered, emotionally shaken, financially uncertain, and unsure who she can trust.

Sarah Ferguson has reportedly not been seen publicly for five months. Following Andrew’s arrest at Sandringham, sources say she is deeply affected.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a royal insider revealed, “I’ve been talking to some of her friends. She sounds in a bad way. She’s been telling people she is really suffering with her mental health and thinks everyone is out to get her.”

Despite that emotional strain, the same source said she remains determined to find ways to generate income again. However, the insider added bluntly, “Her brand is toxic.”

Six of Ferguson’s business ventures are reportedly being wound down within days.

At the same time, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are described as being “in a state” after their father was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Sarah Ferguson’s long association with Jeffrey Epstein has once again come under scrutiny.

Recently released documents suggest the sex offender had been financially supporting her for years.

In one email, Epstein wrote that he began “financially supporting” her in 1996, the same year she divorced Andrew.

The amount of assistance reportedly extended beyond the £15,000 she had previously admitted receiving.

Emails also revealed she privately apologized to Epstein after publicly distancing herself from him, calling him a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend.”

One royal source suggested a memoir detailing the monarchy’s Epstein connections could be lucrative.

“Her best hope of a money-spinner is a tell-all book about how her family’s friendship with Epstein has destroyed everything and left the monarchy in crisis – but she’s ruled that out apparently,” they said.

The source added, “Besides, she might end up having to tell that story to the police and a judge and jury or to some other form of inquiry.”

With mounting pressure in Britain, Ferguson is reportedly reconsidering where to base herself.

While she is said to prefer staying near Windsor so her daughters can visit her grandchildren easily, the United Arab Emirates is being considered for financial reasons.

A source explained, “I think she’d like to stay in the Windsor area to make it relatively easy for Beatrice and Eugenie to visit with her grandchildren.”

However, the insider admitted, “But I can see the arguments for basing herself in the Gulf if she really thinks she can still make money.”

Although she is not expected to move in with Andrew at Sandringham, one friend questioned the hesitation, saying, “I’m not sure why a five-bedroom farmhouse in Norfolk would be so bad.”

The 66-year-old has recently spent time in the French Alps and the UAE, where Princess Eugenie has professional commitments.

Andrew’s arrest marks an unprecedented moment in modern royal history.

He was detained in connection with allegations that he passed sensitive information to Epstein while serving as a trade envoy. After questioning, he was released under investigation.

Thames Valley Police confirmed, “As part of the investigation, we have today arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.”

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright also noted that following a thorough assessment, they opened an investigation into the allegation of misconduct in public office.

Not long after the arrest, King Charles III addressed the situation publicly, stating, “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.”

He continued, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”

Amid the public scrutiny, Ferguson recently suffered a major loss.

As The Blast reported earlier in February, Ferguson’s charity, Sarah’s Trust, announced it will shut down for the foreseeable future.

The charity, founded in 2020 to support vulnerable communities and work with partners in more than 20 countries, said in a statement that read:

“Our chair, Sarah Ferguson, and the board of trustees have agreed that, with regret, the charity will shortly close for the foreseeable future. This has been under discussion and in train for some months.”

The spokeswoman also revealed that the charity was proud of its achievements, which included partnering with over 60 charities in 20+ countries, delivering education, healthcare, crisis relief, and environmental projects.
