The U.S. women’s hockey national team is golden once again.
On Thursday, Team USA won a thrilling gold-medal match at Milan Cortina over Team Canada, erasing a 1-0 third-period deficit in the 2-1 win.
Hilary Knight capped an incredible 2026 Winter Games — both personally and professionally — with the tying goal off a deflection with two minutes and four seconds remaining, and Megan Keller scored the winner four minutes into overtime.
The victory brings the gold back to Team USA’s women’s hockey team for the first time since 2018 and third time ever. The team also won the inaugural women’s hockey tournament at the Olympics in 1998.
