San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan will be limited for the start of the team’s training camp as he continues to recover from injuries suffered in a car crash on July 14. The team made the announcement on Saturday, saying Shanahan suffered non-life threatening injuries in the wreck, but was taken the hospital where he spent the remainder of that day.

The team also announced that the other driver in the crash was also doing well, and that drugs or alcohol did not play a factor.

    No citations were issued.

49ers general manager John Lynch said the main concern for Shanahan at this point is a concussion, and that he has not yet been cleared from the concussion protocol.
