Selena Gomez Says Relationship With Benny Blanco Is The ‘Safest’ She’s Felt

Selena Gomez shared her deep connection with her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, expressing that she sees a future with the popular music producer.

The couple, who have been dating since July 2023, has shared special moments, including public outings and Valentine’s Day surprises.

Benny Blanco emphasized the importance of prioritizing each other’s needs, sharing he enjoys quiet mornings with Selena Gomez and loves preparing her favorite foods.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gomez opened up about her growing connection with Blanco, revealing she sees a “future” with him.

The 32-year-old actress and musician shared her feelings on their relationship, expressing how safe and secure she feels with Blanco: “This is the safest I’ve ever felt in one, and I see a future with this person.”

Gomez further reflected on how sharing small moments with the public has helped ease the pressure of constant paparazzi attention.

“When you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down,” Gomez explained. “Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, ‘I did it,’ they’re like, ‘Oh, well, there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.'”

“But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine,” she added.

Gomez and Blanco’s relationship first made headlines in December 2023, when the singer publicly confirmed their romance by liking fan posts and commenting, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.”

Since then, the couple has shared several glimpses of their relationship, with the “Fetish” singer posting pictures of Blanco on her Instagram and even bringing him as her date to the 2024 Golden Globes.

After the event, she celebrated with a photo of them kissing, captioning it, “I won.”

More recently, Gomez posted a photo of Benny from his People Magazine interview during the countdown to the Sexiest Man Alive announcement.

She added a heartfelt message, saying, “Not only do you love me unconditionally… You always get me my Taco Bell Mexican pizza.”

Blanco told the news outlet that they had been dating since July 2023, expressing his happiness, saying, “I’m so happy. I met my best friend.”

He added, “I have a best friend that I also get to kiss. I have a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life. I sound like a loser, but it’s amazing!”

Blanco also shared that the quiet morning hours are his favorite time with Gomez, noting that despite their hectic schedules, they prioritize starting their day together.

“I’m a real morning person. It’s my favorite time to spend with Sel because we both wake up really early,” he revealed. “We’re usually having breakfast by 6:15. It’s our time before the world wakes up.”

Despite some days when he’d love to sleep in, Blanco admits he’s typically up before the sun rises.

“I get sleepy at nighttime. I’m like an old man. I want to go to bed early. I want to lay down. I want to be horizontal as quickly as possible throughout the day,” he joked. “I still wake up at 6 no matter what time [I go to bed]. I go to bed at 5:30 [a.m.] and I’m up at 6:15.'”

In his interview with People, Blanco emphasized the importance of prioritizing his partner’s needs.

“I go all out for every date. We always go all out for each other,” Blanco revealed.

The producer also recalled a special moment when Gomez surprised him: “Sel was like, ‘Oh, I want to take you on a date.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so sweet.’ Then we drove somewhere and she had rented out a whole botanical gardens for me.”

For Valentine’s Day, Blanco reciprocated by preparing all of Gomez’s favorite foods, including homemade movie theater nachos and fried pickles.

“It’s not about draining your bank account. It’s about being thoughtful — really listening to what they like when you’re talking,” Blanco explained.

During an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, Stern asked Blanco if marriage he was considering marriage, to which the 11-time Grammy nominee exclaimed: “You and me both…I gotta get my act together!”

Regarding their future, Blanco expressed his enthusiasm for starting a family, stating: “That’s like my next goal on the box. I have a lot of God kids, and I’ve got a ton of nephews. It’s my thing, I love being around kids!”

While reflecting on their first date, the producer confessed to initially being unaware it was a romantic outing. Recalling the moment, he shared, “It was so crazy. When we went out on our first date, I didn’t even know it was a date.”

He recounted the amusing exchange where the “Love On” singer hinted at the nature of their outing, saying: “I remember sitting there and she’s like, ‘Well, I would have worn something different for this date,’ and I was like, ‘What?! We’re on a date?!'”
