My, how things have come full circle these days. Coca-Cola, who condemned Donald Trump after the protests at the Capitol in 2021, just gifted the President-elect with his very own inauguration bottle design.

Trump, of course, is notorious for his love-hate relationship with Diet Coke.

“Tonight, President Trump received the first-ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey,” Trump deputy communications director Margo Martin posted on X Tuesday.

Quincey even posed with Trump as the two beamed over the bottle design.

The label shows an image of the White House, which will become Trump’s residence once again on January 20th, 2025. It bears that date along with the words “The Inauguration of the President of the United States” and “Donald J. Trump.”

It is extraordinary how some major companies are finding the courage once again to acknowledge the office of the presidency, even as it is Trump who sits as it’s occupant.

    Trump Loves Coke

Donald Trump has shown an affinity for soft drinks over the years. Especially Coke products.

He famously installed a special button in the White House during his first term as president so he could have the beverage promptly delivered to him.

President Biden had the button removed upon taking office.

President Biden has removed the Diet Coke button. When @ShippersUnbound and I interviewed Donald Trump in 2019, we became fascinated by what the little red button did. Eventually Trump pressed it, and a butler swiftly brought in a Diet Coke on a silver platter. It’s gone now. pic.twitter.com/rFzhPaHYjk

UFC CEO Dana White has marveled over the fact that Trump never seems to drink water but always has a bottle or glass of Coke at the ready.

“He’ll sit at the fights with me all night. All night, you’re talking like six hours. So, I’ll ask him, ‘Do you want a water? No, no, no,” White said in an interview with Tucker Carlson. “And somebody will bring him over a Coke, and he’ll drink Coke.”

Hasn’t Always Been A Rosy Relationship

Things haven’t always been kosher between President-elect Trump and Coke. The company condemned Trump and his supporters after the January 6th protests.

They issued a statement saying the mostly peaceful protests were “an offense to the ideals of American democracy.”

In 2021, Trump called for a boycott of Coke products as the company attacked Georgia’s election integrity laws at the time.

“For years the Radical Left Democrats have played dirty by boycotting products when anything from that company is done or stated in any way that offends them. Now they are going big time with the WOKE CANCEL CULTURE and our sacred elections,” he said.

He specifically named several companies, including Coca-Cola.

President Trump on the GA boycotts:

“Boycott Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck. Don’t go back to their products until they relent. We can play the game better than them.”

Once again, though, all appears to be well between the two. Winning can do that – and don’t think for a second that winning the popular vote isn’t a very important factor here.

Trump’s inauguration weekend is set to be a spectacle with a star-studded lineup of performers.

Headlining the event is the famous band Village People, who have become a symbol in MAGA culture due to their song “Y.M.C.A.”.

Joining them is Kid Rock, a known supporter of Trump, country singer Jason Aldean, whose song “Try That in a Small Town” resonated with Trump’s voter base, and Carrie Underwood, who is scheduled to sing “America the Beautiful” at the inauguration ceremony.

Also appearing at the inauguration? The garbage truck Trump used on the campaign trail.
