Zuri Hall, American television personality, entertainment reporter, and actress, turned heads on the red carpet, matching her bright red gown with a crimson lip.

“I always wanted to design my own awards season gown, one day!” she told E! News ahead of the red carpet. “I’ve been blessed enough to work in Hollywood for nearly a decade now…and develop a strong personal style. So I know what I like, and what works on long days like this.”

“You’ve gotta bring the glamour, but it needs to be practical and functional,” Hall explained. “I prefer gowns you don’t have to fuss over, too much, once I’m in it, I’m in it!”

Describing her debut design, she told E!, “I knew I wanted my first design ever to perfectly represent my quintessential red carpet style: effortless elegance, with a bit of edge. My favorite color palette to play in is rich, warm neutrals, ivory, camel, chocolate. I felt like the brown silk in this design was perfect, as we step into autumn.”

“Euphoria” actress Storm Reid showed up wearing customized Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2025 Couture, which was topped with a dramatic ruffled, floor-length cape.

Queen Latifah will take the stage at the 2025 Oscars to participate in a special tribute to music legend Quincy Jones.

Latifah, a longtime friend of Jones, previously collaborated with him on two tracks for his 1995 album Q’s “Jook Joint.” The tribute was announced by Raj Kapoor, the show’s executive producer and showrunner, during a recent press conference. Kapoor described the performance as a highlight of this year’s show, aiming to uplift the room and honor Jones’ remarkable spirit and achievements.

“We’ve planned and curated this beautiful moment that we hope will uplift the room, that will celebrate the spirit of Quincy and all of his greatness,” Kapoor shared. “We are happy to say that Queen Latifah is part of that performance. You’ll have to tune in Sunday to see what we have in store, but it’s a beautiful moment, and we think it will make everybody feel really good.”

Colman Domingo recently shed light on the “hopeful” message of his Oscar-nominated film, “Sing Sing.” The actor, who earned a Best Actor nod for his performance, appeared on “Good Morning America” on Monday, February 10, 2025, to reflect on the significance of the project.

“It’s such an incredibly hopeful film, and I think we need that, especially where we are right now in the world,” Domingo said. “We need stories about people who feel like they can overcome insurmountable odds.”

He continued, “I feel like that’s the message that I want to lead with as a performer, as a producer and a director in the world. I want to give that. The film is a big beating heart.”

Gal Gadot will be a presenter at the 97th Academy Awards.
