Ozzy Osbourne‘s final bow turned into a double celebration as daughter Kelly Osbourne got engaged to Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson during her father’s farewell concert in Birmingham.

The heavy metal pioneer took the stage for what he claims is his last-ever live performance, joined by the original Black Sabbath lineup and cheered on by 40,000 fans at Villa Park stadium.

Before the show, Ozzy Osbourne spoke of his dream to collaborate with Paul McCartney, but the Saturday show became even more personal.

Kelly said yes, right after her dad stole the moment with a classic Ozzy one-liner. She posted a video of the proposal on Instagram, writing, “Oh, and this happened yesterday!”

The 40-year-old got engaged surrounded by close family and friends, as Wilson poured his heart out before asking Kelly to marry him.

Just as things were getting emotional, Ozzy jumped in with a joke, “F–ck off, you’re not marrying my daughter.” The room burst into laughter, including Sharon Osbourne, who was seated beside her husband.

Unfazed, Wilson continued, telling Kelly, “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you.” He then popped the question, and Kelly, visibly stunned, nodded and said yes before the couple embraced.

The “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert was not just a goodbye to fans, but a moment of personal closure after years of health struggles. In an interview with Billboard, Sharon confirmed this marks the definitive end. “We’re done,” she said firmly.

Sharon, who has managed both Ozzy and Black Sabbath since his solo launch in 1979, added that both are ready to step away from the tour life. “I’ve been doing this since I was 15, and I’m done. We just want to live our life and do what we want to do and not have to follow an itinerary anymore,” she admitted.

Sharon revealed that staging the farewell was her idea, sparked by Ozzy’s regret over never getting to properly thank his fans after his 2018 tour was cut short due to illness. Despite a few public appearances since then, he never felt he had closure.

Ozzy may have wrapped up his final live show, but there is still one dream he has not let go of: collaborating with Paul McCartney. While his wife confirmed that his performing days are over, The Blast reports that the rock legend is still holding out hope for a studio session with the Beatles icon.

Ahead of his farewell performance, Ozzy opened up on his SiriusXM show “Ozzy Speaks,” sharing just how much it would mean to him to work with Paul. He recalled a memorable meeting with Paul back in 2001 and described him as incredibly kind and down-to-earth.

Ozzy even admitted that he once pleaded with Paul to play bass on one of his tracks, a request that was politely turned down, not because Paul was not interested, but because he felt the bassline already sounded great.
