Jessie J Cancels U.S. Tour Amid Cancer Battle

Jessie J is pressing pause on her career to prioritize her health. The Grammy-nominated “Price Tag” singer, who has been candid about her battle with early-stage breast cancer and recent hospitalizations, revealed she is canceling her U.S. tour and postponing her European shows. The news comes just months after the pop star underwent a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, followed by a frightening lung infection that left her back in the hospital. The 37-year-old artist, who also shares a young son with her partner, basketball player Chanan Colman, has been open about the challenges of balancing motherhood with ongoing treatments. Now, with another surgery on the horizon, Jessie J says she has no choice but to step away from the stage for the rest of the year.

Jessie confirmed Thursday that the U.S. leg of her tour, originally set for November 2025, has been scrapped, while the UK and European dates will be rescheduled to April 2026.

“This falls in the middle of the tour I had booked,” she told fans in a heartfelt statement. “I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to be better, I need to be healed.” She added that the upcoming surgery is “nothing too serious” but must be done before the year ends.

The decision comes amid one of the toughest years of Jessie’s life.

Earlier this spring, she underwent a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, then found herself back in the hospital weeks later with fluid in her lungs. While she recovered through outpatient treatment, doctors now say she needs another procedure.

She added that watching her son grow without being fully present has been painful. “Anyone with a toddler knows that they change so much in that space of time,” she said. “You blink and he’s chatting.”

Despite the fear and setbacks, Jessie credits Sky as her greatest motivation. “You are my biggest ray of light, and with you in my life, the darkness will never win,” she previously wrote in a post ahead of surgery, calling her son the reason she stays strong.

After sharing the good news that her cancer had not spread, Jessie noted she still has “one more surgery” to face but is choosing to focus on healing and motherhood, jokingly calling herself “The LopJess Monster.”

In early June, Jessie J disclosed to her 14 million Instagram followers that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. The singer, who has long been candid about her personal struggles, explained that she had been undergoing a series of hospital visits and tests in the weeks leading up to the announcement.

“I just wanted to be open and share it. One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard,” she shared at the time. “I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I’m an open book.”

She added, “It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse – that’s the bit that kills me.”
