Sydney Sweeney’s New Beau Has Been ‘Pursuing’ Her Since Venice Meeting

According to insiders, the music mogul has been “obsessed” with the Hollywood actress since they crossed paths, and their new relationship is more than a fling.

The romance follows Sydney Sweeney’s split from her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, whom she dated for seven years.

Scooter Braun is said to have become “obsessed” with “Euphoria” star Sydney Sweeney after meeting her at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in June, insiders tell Page Six.

The 44-year-old music executive, known for managing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, reportedly began pursuing the 27-year-old actress following the star-studded Venice celebration.

While it’s unclear how serious things are, sources claim the two have been casually dating, with one insider noting, “It’s still new,” but it’s more than just a fling.

Star magazine first reported the connection earlier this week, revealing that the pair were seen walking together in Venice shortly after the wedding.

At Bezos’ star-studded wedding, Sweeney was also spotted mingling with Tom Brady and Orlando Bloom, but Braun reportedly kept following up with her afterward.

Still, Braun kept “pursuing” Sweeney after the event, and the two reportedly met up again, with multiple outlets now confirming their budding romance.

“They’re casually hooking up,” a source told People Magazine, while another insider added, “Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard.”

Sweeney’s reported fling with Braun follows the end of her engagement to longtime partner Jonathan Davino, whom she dated for seven years. Sources close to the actress said the relationship had been “rocky for a while,” and Sweeney ultimately didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with marriage.

“She’s exactly where she wants to be,” one insider told People in March. “Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.”

“What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding,” they explained, per The Blast. “She didn’t feel right about it.”

The source added that Sweeney struggled to end things because of lingering love but knew she needed to prioritize herself and her work.

“They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off,” the source said. “They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

Braun, meanwhile, has also spoken about navigating life after his 2021 divorce from Yael Cohen Braun, with whom he shares three children: Jagger, 9, Levi, 7, and Hart, 5.

On the June 9 episode of “The Diary of a CEO podcast,” he reflected, “I don’t want to go into detail, because I have a lot of respect. We’re family forever. It goes both ways. It’s not like there was one thing happening. Both people have to play a role in where we end to. Things happened both ways.”

The former music executive also revealed that the separation pushed him into a dark mental space.

He admitted he briefly struggled with suicidal thoughts, saying: “I had a suicidal thought for 20 minutes where I was like, if my marriage is going to fall apart, I’m not gonna be with my kids all the time. I can’t control this.”
