Jennifer Lopez ‘Doesn’t Really Keep in Touch’ With Ben Affleck

While Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s recent loved-up red carpet moment had fans hoping for a Bennifer comeback, insiders are now hinting that there’s no rekindled romance in sight for the duo.

The pair first fell in love in the early 2000s before calling off their engagement in 2004. Nearly two decades later, they tied the knot only to split again in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.

Now, following their movie outing, reports suggest that the estranged couple is far from being together behind the spotlight.

Despite fans’ hopes for a Bennifer reunion, it seems a reconciliation isn’t in the cards as a source claimed that the “Hustle” star has no interest in rekindling things with the actor. “There is nothing going on between them,” the source confirmed to US Magazine. 

Another individual revealed that Lopez has spent time healing from the split and is now thriving on her own. “She feels more comfortable in her skin than ever,” the individual shared, adding, “There’s a sense of independence and peace about her. She’s in a really good headspace right now.”

As for where the estranged couple currently are, the second insider noted they are in “a good place.” “There’s still a lot of love between them, but they both understand they shouldn’t be married,” the informant explained. 

Seemingly proving that there’s no bad blood between them was their friendly rapport at the premiere, where Affleck publicly praised Lopez, and she, in turn, thanked him for his support.

Regardless of the show of affection, another informant clarified that their appearance was strictly professional and they don’t have a “deep” relationship. 

Explaining how distant the former couple has become, the informant shared that Lopez “doesn’t really keep in touch with Ben,” adding she is more in contact with the kids. 

According to a second source, Lopez has acknowledged that her relationship with Affleck has run its course. A third insider chimed in, saying she has learned her lessons from the marriage and has no regrets. 

Rather than dwell on the past, Lopez is channeling her energy into new projects. Fresh off her “Up All Night” tour, which wrapped in August, the superstar is now gearing up for a Las Vegas residency set to begin in December.

Additionally, she is dedicating her time to personal growth and emotional healing, as being single has helped her stay centered and in control of her life. 

The new revelations about the former lovers come two weeks after they shocked everyone when they got all cozy at the premiere of Lopez’s “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” marking their first outing together after their split. 

As The Blast reported, for the occasion, “The Mother” star stunned in a figure-hugging silver corset gown, while the “Air” actor looked dapper in a navy suit and crisp white shirt. Standing side by side, the pair smiled, whispered, and shared quiet laughs, moments that didn’t go unnoticed.

As expected, fans quickly took to social media to weigh in. One admirer joked, “They’re going home together,” while another teased, “Lord… they’re gonna start this all over again.”

Before insiders confirmed where Lopez and Affleck stand, body expert Judi James analyzed the pair’s body language at the event and concluded that it was for the show and nothing more.

As The Blast previously reported, James noted that the former couple appeared to have swapped roles this time around. In the past, Lopez was usually the one working the cameras, smiling and showing affection, while Affleck often looked uncomfortable and distant.

However, this time around, James observed that Affleck was the one putting in the effort to look affectionate and connected to his ex-wife. On the other hand, Lopez was calm and more composed.
