Meghan Trainor has revealed why she quit coffee, sharing that it has been life-changing, helping her regain energy and combat burnout from nonstop work.

As she prepares for her June 2026 “Get in Girl” Tour, the singer balances parenting, touring, and family chaos caffeine-free.

Megha Trainor is also embracing a “haters gonna hate” mindset for her upcoming album, as she celebrates self-love, confidence, and resilience despite online criticism, especially about her weight.

In a new conversation with People Magazine, about her “Get in Girl” Tour and latest single, “Still Don’t Care,” Trainor revealed that quitting coffee may have been one of the best decisions of her life, and it all started with a psychic.

The 31-year-old singer said that her caffeine habit came into focus after her husband, Daryl Sabara, visited a psychic.

The psychic, who had never met Trainor, reportedly told Sabara that his wife was “using coffee like speed,” running on it all day and crashing hard at night.

“When he told me, I was like, ‘How does she know that?” Trainor recalled. Still, the message hit home, and she decided on the spot to quit her daily coffee fix.

Speaking about her coffee-drinking days, Trainor admitted that she stopped immediately, as she was overly reliant on it.

“Cold turkey just stopped because I was drinking it all day to just survive and be steady, and then I would crash and be buzzing at night to sleep,” she told the publication.

At the time, Trainor says her hormones were off, and her “adrenals were shot.” Despite healthy eating and regular workouts, she felt exhausted.

“I wasn’t feeling great. And I was like, ‘I don’t understand. I eat so healthy, I work out. Why do I feel like this?’ And I realized I was overworking myself,” Trainor shared.

However, Trainor admitted that the first week without coffee was rough. But after getting through the initial crash, she says the difference was dramatic: “I have more energy than ever. It was life-changing,” she said.

As she prepares to hit the road again in June 2026, the “All About That Bass” singer says her routine will remain as full as ever, only now, she’s doing it caffeine-free. “No sleep, power through and thrive,” she joked.

She described a typical day: waking at 7 a.m. with the kids, visiting museums or amusement parks, having lunch together, doing a soundcheck, and eating an early dinner to avoid any stage mishaps.

Afterward, it’s full glam and family chaos as she, her husband, her mom, and their nanny Leslie wrangle the kids for bath time.

“It’s chaos,” she summarized. “Once they’re good to go, we walk them to the bus, and they go to bed. And then I do the show, and I get to sleep at about 11 or midnight. And then we get up, and it’s Groundhog Day, and we do it all over again.”

The Singer Channels Confidence And Self-Love In Her New Album ‘Toy With Me’

Alongside her tour, Trainor is embracing a “haters gonna hate” mindset for her new album, “Toy with Me.”

Set for release on April 24, 2026, her seventh studio album is led by the single “Still Don’t Care,” in which Trainor celebrates self-love and confidence despite online criticism, much of which has centered on her weight.

Appearing on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on November 26, Trainor explained that the song was inspired by her recent health and fitness transformation.

She shared that she felt “confident” about her transformation, “and then the comments started coming, so many mean ones.”

“Usually, I don’t get a lot of mean comments, or I don’t look at them, and they don’t faze me,” Trainor noted. “But these ones were, like, so aggressive. They’re like, ‘You were the bass girl, why are you thin now?”

The singer explained that her transformation came from a combination of a new gym routine with trainer Bella Maher of Malibu Bodies, dietary changes, and low doses of the GLP-1 medication Mounjaro, all motivated by wanting to be healthy and active for her two sons, Riley and Bruce.

“It was confusing, and it broke my heart,” Trainor admitted about the backlash, adding that even with support from friends, family, and her therapist, she struggled not to let the comments affect her.

“I’m learning so hard,” she shared.

Like her breakout hit “All About That Bass,” Trainor says “Still Don’t Care” reflects an aspirational mindset, a version of herself she wants to feel, even if she’s not always there mentally.

“I wish I thought like this, that I don’t care about what anyone thinks and I’m gonna be me,” she explained.
