Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is on the mend.

On Monday, one day after suffering a fracture in his left, non-throwing hand, in a 31-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders (2-10), the Chargers announced Herbert “underwent successful surgery… to stabilize” the fracture.

“Herbert’s return to play is considered day-to-day, and his status for next Monday’s game against Philadelphia will be determined later in the week,” the team continued in a statement published to social media.

As noted, Herbert has an extra day to recover, with the Chargers not playing again until “Monday Night Football” at home versus the Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) on Dec. 8.
