The Dallas Mavericks made it clear they were looking for a new direction when they brought in Masai Ujiri as President. The unsurprising result just a couple of weeks later is that head coach Jason Kidd is looking for a new gig.
Just two seasons after helping take the Mavericks to the NBA Finals, much has changed in Big D. Luka Doncic is now a Laker and now-infamous GM Nico Harrison is also no longer part of the Mavericks organization. Now, Kidd is gone as well.
The Hall-of-Fame point guard spent five seasons on the sideline for the Mavs, finishing with a 205-205 after the team tanked their way to a 26-56 record in 2025-26.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. In his lone NBA Finals appearance as a coach, Kidd and the Mavericks fell 4-1 to the Boston Celtics. With that being said, can you name the losing coach for every NBA Finals since 1950?
