The Milwaukee Brewers and Athletics played a contender for game of the year, with the Brewers defeating the A’s 15-14 in 12 innings.
After the A’s took an 8-3 lead in their Las Vegas debut thanks to a 6-run third-inning, Milwaukee fought all the way back and forced extra-innings thanks to a two-run top-half of the ninth. In the 10th, they seemed to complete the comeback with four more runs before back-to-back home runs from Nick Kurtz and Jonah Heim pushed the game to the 11th.
For such an exciting game, the decisive run was actually scored on a ball that didn’t leave the infield, with Brice Turang grounding into a fielder’s choice that brought home Christian Yelich in the 12th to secure the victory.
After the win, Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy called it the “most bizarre game I’ve ever had in MLB in 11 years.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. After winning the National League Platinum Glove in 2024, Turang has also established himself as a solid hitter in Major League Baseball as well. With that being said, can you name the Platinum Glove winners since 2011?
Good luck!
