Amy Schumer has revealed that she’s back on a new weight loss drug after her “horrible experience” with Wegovy that left her feeling nauseous for years.

The actress previously disclosed that she “lost 30 pounds so quickly” while she was using ozempic that it became difficult to “lift my head off the pillow.”

In a recent Instagram video, Amy Schumer vowed to “never” get lip fillers even though she says she has “no top lip.”

Schumer recently shared a candid health after opening up about her struggles with a weight loss drug.

The “Trainwreck” actress took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that she’s back on a new drug, Mounjaro, praising it for the “good experience” it has afforded her.

“Mounjaro’s been great,” she said in the video, explaining that the medicine isn’t covered by insurance unless a patient has diabetes or severe obesity.

“Which most of the internet thinks I have,” she joked. “But I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”

Earlier in the video, Schumer detailed how she tried Wegovy for three years but was left feeling nauseous.

“I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever,” Schumer said.

Although both drugs are used to help with weight loss, Mounjaro has been FDA-approved to treat type II diabetes, while Wegovy hasn’t.

The Comedian Says She Is In ‘Premenopause’ Stage

Elsewhere in her Instagram video, the “Kinda Pregnant” actress announced that she was in premenopause, the period between a woman’s reproductive years and menopause.

Schumer also used the opportunity to talk about a telehealth company that specializes in health for women above 35.

“They put me on estrogen and progesterone … and my symptoms from being perimenopause have disappeared,” Schumer, an investor in Midi Health, claimed.

“My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex,” Schumer added.

Schumer has always been open about her use of weight loss medications, revealing that she initially suffered a “horrible experience” while using Wegovy despite losing 30 pounds.

“I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy,” Schumer said on The Howard Stern radio show, per Page Six.

“So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was like, veteran. I was like, vomiting — and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. God bless them,” she added.

Schumer further noted that although she “lost 30 pounds so quick” and “looked great,” she couldn’t “lift my head off the pillow” from how nauseous she was on the drug.

The Comedian Urged Hollywood Stars To Stop ‘Lying’ About Their Ozempic Use

Schumer first opened up about her use of weight loss drugs in 2023 and encouraged other Hollywood bigwigs to stop “lying” about taking it.

“You are on Ozempic or one of those things or you got work done. Just stop,” she said to “everyone” hiding their use of the Type II diabetes drug on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” at the time.

“Be real with the people,” she continued. “When I got lipo, I said, ‘I got lipo.'”

Schumer noted that she was “immediately invested” in the medication, but it was not “livable” for her to continue its use on a long-term note.

Schumer seemingly disclosed the line she’s not willing to cross as it concerns her body, disclosing in an Instagram video that she’s “never” going to get lip fillers.

“Hi, it’s your favorite comedian with no top lip,” the 43-year-old actress said in the clip. “I want to commit to you that I will never get lip fillers.”

“You can always enjoy that I have no top lip,” she continued.

Schumer has had to endure harsh trolling from the internet, particularly on the state of her face some months back.

“A year ago, the internet really came for me,” she said, adding that initially, she ignored the comments. “I was like, ‘Okay, everybody, like, relax.'”

However, things got serious when medical professionals also started speaking out about her face.

“Doctors were chiming in in the comments, and they were, like, ‘No, no … something’s really up. Your face looks so crazy,'” she said.

“[I] was getting these steroid injections, and so it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome — which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard,” Schumer added.
