Argentina reclaims its place in the world: a historic military and technological alliance with the United States, burying the Kirchnerist legacy.

In a shift that leaves behind years of isolation and populism, Argentina and the United States are forging a new era of military, technological, and strategic cooperation. The left, as always, watches from the nostalgia of failure.

Javier Milei’s Argentina and Joe Biden’s United States—despite their internal differences—have chosen to look to the future with pragmatism. Both nations have just sealed an ambitious strategic cooperation plan that includes joint special forces training in Patagonia, the acquisition of F-16 aircraft for the Argentine Air Force, and cybersecurity training programs.

The agreement, announced this week, marks a turning point for the region. When was the last time Argentina unapologetically bet on the free world and stopped flirting with Caribbean dictators? Clearly, not during the golden years of Kirchnerism.

Where will the first steps take place? In strategic bases in Patagonia, a territory long neglected by governments more concerned with narratives than national defense.

Why now? Because Milei understands what the left never accepted: sovereignty is not defended with fiery speeches but with solid alliances and cutting-edge technology.

How will this collaboration be implemented? Through joint military exercises, knowledge transfer, and a modern defense approach that includes cybersecurity—a front the progressives barely imagined while distributing subsidies.

The background explains the enthusiasm. For decades, Argentina’s foreign policy was hostage to ideological whims: friendship with Venezuela, submission to China, textbook anti-American rhetoric. The result is clear: isolation, poverty, and decline.

Today, history begins to be written in a different tone. To the surprise of the nostalgics of the São Paulo Forum, F-16s are not for distributing welfare programs but for protecting a country that demands respect.

Milei’s move is not just military: it’s a political statement. It means saying goodbye to geopolitical infantilism and betting on a realistic alliance with the world’s leading power. An alliance based on shared interests, not rusty utopias.

Some sectors of the local left, always quick to defend authoritarian regimes, have already started wailing in their echo chambers. They speak of “subjugation.” The truth is they never understood that true subjugation is depending on the whims of a petrostate, not signing agreements as equals.

Argentina needed to regain international respect. This is the way: military professionalism, technological innovation, and alignment with liberal democracies.

Meanwhile, the left keeps debating the virtues of socialist bartering, as if the 21st century hasn’t arrived for them yet.

This alliance with the United States represents far more than planes or training. It signifies Argentina’s return to the world of free, proud, and sovereign nations.

A country that finally chooses, with courage, the path of freedom, dignity, and progress.

Without asking permission from the prophets of backwardness.
