Beckham Family Rift Grows After Brooklyn’s Bold Purchase

The couple recently shelled out millions for a luxurious mansion in Los Angeles, a move insiders describe as a “dagger to the heart” for Brooklyn’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

The big step signals Brooklyn’s long-term commitment to life in Los Angeles, distancing himself permanently from the UK, which sources view as a symbolic rejection of his roots.

Brooklyn and his wife are now homeowners. According to The Sun, the couple purchased the property last week for a staggering £10.5 million (roughly $13 million).

Speaking about the big decision, a source told the outlet, “Brooklyn’s wife is American, as are her family, whom he adores, and he feels his life now is Stateside.”

The insider also discussed the impact of Brooklyn’s owning a home in LA on his career as an influencer.

“As an influencer, he can work from anywhere, but Brooklyn believes he has more opportunities in LA. It will be a dagger to the heart for his parents,” they added.

The source noted that the duo had been renting previously, and there was hope he would return to the UK and reunite with his parents; however, the recent purchase meant the relocation would be permanent.

“This house purchase quashes any last hopes,” they explained.

While the lavish property marks a milestone in Brooklyn’s life, it is sure to deepen the rift between him and his parents.

The tension began simmering in 2022 when the 26-year-old and Peltz tied the knot. According to an insider, the drama stemmed from Victoria’s refusal to make Peltz’s wedding dress, despite an initial agreement.

“When Nicola and Brooklyn [Beckham] got engaged, Victoria told Nicola that she’d love to make her wedding dress, and Nicola said it would be her honor, that she would love to wear one of her originals,” a source told PEOPLE.

However, things allegedly changed along the way. “It became clear that it wasn’t a priority for Victoria. Victoria called Peltz’s mother — not Nicola herself — to tell her she wouldn’t be making the dress after all,” the source added.

Ultimately, the actress wore a Valentino wedding dress instead of a Victoria Beckham design.

Things reportedly went from bad to worse at the reception when Marc Anthony performed a song as a gift for the wedding.

During the performance, he called Brooklyn onstage before announcing, “The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up, Victoria Beckham!”

A source told PEOPLE that it was a heartbreaking moment for the bride, considering that Brooklyn Beckham and Peltz had been planning to dance to the song together.

“It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop. It wasn’t appropriate,” a second insider shared.

According to the insider, Peltz ran out of the room in tears and had to be persuaded to return to the event.

“Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why,” they added.

Rumors have revealed that she was once involved with Brooklyn before her split from Romeo, which reportedly caused tension within the family.

In addition, there were speculations that Brooklyn’s absence from his dad’s 50th birthday celebration was due to Turnbull’s presence at the event. Amid the drama, Turnbull spoke out, slamming the rumor mongers.

“I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire; however, it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so l can move on.
