Bethenny Frankel recently shared a surprising story about her experience at the “It Ends with Us” premiere, revealing that the uncomfortable atmosphere led her to leave early.

The movie, starring and directed by Justin Baldoni and featuring Blake Lively as his on-screen love interest, has been mired in controversy. Rumors of on-set tension between the co-stars have swirled for months, with allegations that Baldoni and Lively clashed over creative differences regarding the film’s final cut.

The situation escalated when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her in a December 2024 lawsuit reported by The New York Times. Baldoni has since denied the allegations and countersued for $250 million, accusing the publication of libel.

As the film’s behind-the-scenes drama continues to escalate into legal battles, Bethenny Frankel is recounting her premiere incident in a TikTok video.

The 54-year-old recounted her unsettling experience at the premiere, describing the event as “off-putting” and hinting that the strange vibe may have been linked to the underlying tensions.

“I have the craziest ‘It Ends with Us’ premiere story that I totally forgot about, and I’m putting the pieces together now,” Frankel said in the video. She attended the event in New York City with her colleague, Danielle, dressed in what she described as a “cute” pink outfit.

The oddities began when attendees were informed of an hour-long wait between the red carpet and the movie screening—something Frankel said she had never experienced in her 20 years of attending premieres.

“It was too short to go to dinner but too long to stand there in stilettos,” she said. Opting to leave, Frankel and Danielle grabbed margaritas in mason jars before returning to the theater.

Upon her return, Frankel noticed the peculiar behavior of a member of Lively’s team, describing them as “a little distant and icy.” The atmosphere didn’t improve when Frankel encountered Baldoni, whom she had previously interviewed on her podcast but didn’t immediately recognize.

Frankel explained that the premiere setup was unusually fragmented, with attendees seated in separate theaters instead of a single, unified space. This added to the sense of discomfort.

“The vibe was off … the vibes were not vibing,” Frankel said, adding that she eventually left the premiere altogether. “It felt like I was doing something wrong, but it felt like I was also doing something right. Something was f–cked.”

Frankel emphasized that she rarely leaves a premiere early, even if the film isn’t to her liking. However, the uneasy atmosphere made her departure feel inevitable.

“Wasted hair, makeup, outfit, to go to the city, drink a margarita in a mason jar, take two bites of popcorn, see Anna Wintour, see Justin Baldoni, and leave,” she quipped.

While Frankel’s account sheds light on her personal experience, the drama surrounding “It Ends with Us” appears far from over, with legal disputes and public feuds continuing to dominate headlines.

The “Gossip Girl” alum has accused Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on set, sparking further controversy surrounding the already embattled production.

According to Lively’s legal filings, Baldoni was reprimanded during an “all-hands” meeting—attended by her husband, Ryan Reynolds—for making inappropriate sex-related comments. These allegedly included discussions about his past “porn addiction” and sharing explicit images of women.

Lively further alleged that Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign against her by hiring a crisis manager to tarnish her reputation. As evidence, she submitted text messages purportedly sent by Baldoni’s team, one of which chillingly stated, “You know we can bury anyone.”

Through his attorney, Bryan Freedman, Baldoni has vehemently denied the claims, labeling them as “intentionally salacious” and designed to harm his public image. Freedman also characterized Lively’s legal actions as a “desperate attempt” to rehabilitate her own reputation following a string of controversial public appearances and interviews.
