Big Tech influence: Let’s do our jobs, voters

Re: “Big Tech killed bill to regulate state data centers, senator says” (March 4, A1):

Lobbyists do their best to influence legislation, but we shouldn’t forget that legislators, and the citizens who elect them, ultimately do the voting.

It’s up to legislators to educate themselves about the pros and cons of legislation and decide what’s best for the people they represent, and the people who elect the legislators have the ultimate influence by going to the ballot box.

“Big Tech” and our current administration are running unchecked only because the rest of us are not doing our jobs.

    Brian Giddens, Seattle
