Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley recently turned heads as they made their official red carpet debut as a couple in Rome, marking a major moment in their public relationship.

Cyrus and his partner, Hurley, are red carpet official. On Saturday, the couple stepped out in style for the opening of the Orizzonti/Rossi exhibition at Palazzo Barberini, celebrating Valentino’s showcase in Rome.

For the event, Hurley opted for a hot pink Safiyaa gown with a plunging neckline and cape-like sleeves, which was reminiscent of her iconic fashion moments.

She complemented the look with silver platform sandals, voluminous curls, and statement earrings.

Cyrus matched her glamour with a black jacket featuring leather accents, tight-fitting pants adorned with silver medallions, and his trademark cowboy hat and sunglasses.

Their coordinated appearance showcased a blend of Hollywood elegance and country flair.

Cyrus and Hurley first met in 2022 while filming the holiday movie “Christmas in Paradise” on the Caribbean Island of Nevis. At the time, the 63-year-old’s marriage to his ex-wife Tish had just ended.

In a PEOPLE exclusive excerpt from his interview on Apple Country Music’s “The Ty Bentli Show” in April, Cyrus opened up about how he and the actress bonded while filming together.

“We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot,” he said. “The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different, but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.”

Despite their strong bond initially, Cyrus and Hurley went two years without speaking to each other after filming “Christmas in Paradise.”

The “Some Gave All” singer noted that he was experiencing a difficult period of life at the time.

“I felt like, ‘Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?’ For me, at a certain point, it was like, you can’t get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you,” he recalled.

However, everything changed when Hurley unexpectedly reached out to him. Billy Ray Cyrus said he didn’t know the number that texted him, but the message he received was exactly what he needed.

According to the star, it was something like, “Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough, and I just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner.”

Cyrus asked who they were and was shocked to hear it was Hurley. After the text message, they reconnected, and the rest is history.

Cyrus And Hurley’s Romance Becomes Instagram Official

Following their reconnection, Cyrus and Hurley began dating, and in April 2025, they made their relationship official on Instagram. The country artist posted an intimate picture of himself and the 59-year-old on a farm.

The model wore a blue-checkered long-sleeved shirt and denim pants. Her hair was in pigtails, which she covered with a cowboy hat. Hurley completed her look with sunglasses and a simple necklace.

On the other hand, Billy Ray Cyrus wore a denim jacket and black striped pants. He warmly kissed his girlfriend, who was smiling from ear to ear. “Happy Easter,” Cyrus captioned the post.

The picture quickly ignited a flurry of reactions, many of which didn’t support the duo’s romance. Fans slammed Cyrus for dating again, considering his nearly one-year marriage to Firerose ended last year.

Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus is dealing with more than just public backlash.

Recently, the “Hannah Montana” star posted a video on his Instagram Stories showing as a tornado tore apart his Nashville property.

The clip documented heavy rain, powerful winds, and hail ravaging his house.

“Look at that, oh my gosh… it is a tornado! Oh my goodness,” he could be heard saying in the clip as hail hit the ground and leaves flew through the air.

Cyrus also showed the aftermath of the hazard, which left some parts of his estate flooded and tree branches ripped off.
