Blake Lively is pressing pause on the chaos of her escalating legal battle with Justin Baldoni and stepping into the Wizarding World instead. The 38-year-old actress paid a surprise visit to Broadway’s “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” in New York City, where she reunited with longtime friend and franchise alum Tom Felton. The actor is currently reprising his role as Draco Malfoy for a special Broadway run, making his stage debut as the character he made iconic on screen. Blake Lively didn’t just watch from the audience. She headed backstage to congratulate Tom Felton, pose for photos, and gush about his performance.

Lively shared several photos from her visit on Instagram Stories, including a sweet shot of her and Felton wrapped in a friendly backstage hug. “@t22felton is as kind and gracious as you would dream,” Lively wrote. “Seeing him play Draco live was surreal. So so special.” The pair also posed for a group photo with Felton’s castmates John Skelley, who plays Harry Potter, and Rachel Christopher, who stars as Hermione Granger.

The Broadway production, based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, takes place 19 years after the events of the books and films, following the next generation of Hogwarts students. The show has earned widespread acclaim since premiering in 2016, with a record-setting nine Olivier Awards and six Tony Awards.

Lively’s charming Broadway night comes as headlines swirl around her increasingly bizarre legal drama with director Justin Baldoni. According to newly surfaced deposition testimony from October, Baldoni allegedly told a then-pregnant Lively that he was “circumcised” during a December 2022 meeting at her home, while her husband Ryan Reynolds was present.

Court documents obtained by The Daily Mail detail the exchange, though Baldoni later admitted Lively never actually asked about his circumcision status. The odd claim is just the latest twist in their ongoing legal feud, which has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most unexpected celebrity disputes.

Blake Lively’s Team Says The Case Must Go To Trial Despite Baldoni’s Pushback

As the legal battle intensifies, Justin Baldoni’s legal team has argued that Lively’s allegations amount to nothing more than a “litany of minor grievances” that were not “severe or pervasive enough to create an objectively hostile or abusive work environment.”

Lively’s attorneys strongly dispute that characterization, and they’re fighting to ensure the case reaches a jury. In their latest filing, also obtained by the outlet, her team insists that “the record evidence is clear: Lively’s claims survive summary judgment and must be sent to a jury.”

They argue the actress’s experience on the “It Ends With Us” set was far more serious than Baldoni’s camp is willing to admit. “This is not, as Defendants claim, a story of minor annoyances fueled by creative differences, but instead one of a toxic work environment,” her lawyers wrote, accusing Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties of “peddling their victimization narrative” while attempting to paint Lively as the aggressor to “avoid accountability for the hostile environment they created.”

Lively Court Filing Says Justin Baldoni Is Trying To Block Sexual Harassment Trial

The filing goes even further, stating that Baldoni and the co-defendants are trying to “shield themselves from trial, and deny Blake Lively her day in court, by throwing the kitchen sink at Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation claims.”

“But Defendants’ scattershot theories collapse under the weight of the overwhelming evidence,” her legal team concluded.

With a trial currently scheduled for March of next year, the confrontation between the former co-stars appears poised to escalate even further.

The unexpected feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni traces back to December 2024, when Lively filed a lawsuit accusing her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star of sexual harassment and retaliation. The allegations immediately sent shockwaves through Hollywood, especially given the film’s massive popularity and the pair’s previously warm on-set dynamic.

Baldoni has vehemently denied every claim made against him. In response, he filed a staggering $400 million countersuit accusing Lively of extortion and defamation. That countersuit, however, was later dismissed by the presiding judge.

Whether the actress finds more magical distractions in the coming weeks remains to be seen… but for one night, at least, Blake Lively left the courtroom drama behind and stepped into a world of wands, wizardry, and old friends.
