Jack Smith’s top hatchet man, Jay Bratt, abruptly resigned from the Justice Department last week, according to Deep State reporter and fake Trump-Russia dossier peddler Michael Isikoff.

Jay Bratt was one of the main prosecutors who spearheaded the Mar-a-Lago raid, he threatened a lawyer defending Trump’s valet driver and admitted the DOJ tampered with evidence.

    Via Michael Isikoff for SpyTalk:

A top Justice Department national security prosecutor has become an early casualty of the incoming Trump administration, abruptly resigning from the department last week before incoming appointees can retaliate against him for his key role in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the former president.

The resignation of Jay Bratt, a career lawyer who served as chief of the counterintelligence and export controls section inside the national security division before being detailed to Smith’s staff, has not been publicly announced by the department.

But three sources familiar with the move described it to SpyTalk as a significant and even chilling event previewing a potential exodus of seasoned government lawyers and FBI agents who fear the wrath of Pam Bondi, Trump ’s pick for attorney general, Kash Patel, his intended nominee for FBI Director, and their expected army of MAGA loyalists in line to fill out top posts.

Recall that Jay Bratt threatened Stanley Woodward, an attorney for Trump’s valet driver Walt Nauta.

Jay Bratt tried to bribe Stanley Woodward and threatened him with a sinking judicial nomination if he didn’t get Walt Nauta to testify against Trump.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on this bribe.

The DOJ was forced to respond to a complaint alleging prosecutorial misconduct filed under seal in the DC court by Stanley Woodward, the lawyer for indicted Trump aide Walt Nauta.

According to RealClearInvestigations journalist Paul Sperry, the DOJ was forced to respond to a complaint filed under seal about the attempted bribe.

“Upon Mr. Woodward’s arrival at Main Justice, he was led to a conference room where Mr. Bratt awaited with what appeared to be a folder containing information about Mr. Woodward. Mr. Bratt thereupon told Mr. Woodward he didn’t consider to be a “Trump lawyer,” and he further said that he was aware that Mr. Woodward had been recommended to President Biden for an appointment to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Mr. Bratt followed up with words to the effect of “I wouldn’t want you to do anything to mess that up,”” according to unsealed records.

In a new twist, President Trump just announced Stanley Woodward will be a top legal advisor in the Trump White House.
