Despite the fallout from her controversial 13-year conservatorship which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021, the “Crossroads” actress is looking forward to connecting with her sons again. Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that the mother-of-two is actively working to repair her relationship with her sons.

In November, Jayden reached out to the pop star and has been reportedly staying with her while looking at schools in the area. “He’s open to mending the relationship with his mom and seeing where things go. Britney was very excited to hear from him; [it] means everything to her,” one source told the publication.

Although it has been a while since Britney and her son have been under one roof, it seems that things have been going smoothly. The source said, “They’ve been getting along great” and noted that her improved relationship with Jayden has also helped smooth things over with her other son, Sean Preston, who seems to be living in Hawaii with his father and stepmother at the moment.

“Britney’s convinced they’ll have a flourishing relationship in the near future. It’s all she ever talks about,” another source told the publication. “She would love a second chance with them.”

It remains where Britney stands with her mother, Lynne Spears, as the two have also had a tumultuous relationship throughout the years.

“Things with Lynne have been rocky [recently], but Britney wants to improve [their relationship],” one source told the publication, noting that Britney always feels anxious about the holiday season.

“She misses her and gets sad about her family dynamic,” the source added.

That being said, the insider insisted that she will never reconcile with her father, Jamie Spears, and all that he put her through during her conservatorship.

While Britney is looking for a fresh start with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, it appears that she is much closer to her brother, Bryan Spears, and “talks to him often,” especially following her divorce from actor Sam Asghari.

In 2016, the pop star started dating the former personal trainer after meeting on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. They became engaged in September 2021, only two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship was struck down by a judge. They tied the knot in June 2022, but it wasn’t long before the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor filed for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

While he has moved on with real estate agent Brooke Irvine, the “Criminal” singer entered into a rollercoaster relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, although it appears that she may have moved on from him for good after mending her relationship with her sons. That being said, it appears that Britney is not opposed to dating again.

An insider told the publication that Britney “will always be a hopeless romantic” and “loves having a partner” so she is “looking to date” while Sam is reportedly “really happy” in his new relationship.
