Cara Delevingne Buys New Mansion A Year After Losing Home To A Fire

Recently, Cara Delevingne celebrated her 33rd birthday at Chateau Marmont, joined by stars like Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez.

Delevingne has reportedly purchased Jennifer Lawrence’s Beverly Hills mansion for $11 million, a year after losing her own Los Angeles home to a devastating fire.

According to the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old model and actress is now settling into the luxury property, which places her among celebrity neighbors including Adele, Nicole Kidman, and Cameron Diaz.

The residence, once owned by Jessica Simpson before Lawrence bought it in 2014, features five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms.

The primary suite includes a spacious walk-in closet and a private balcony with sweeping views of the landscaped grounds.

The inside of Delevingne’s new mansion boasts an expansive white kitchen fitted with stainless steel appliances, perfect for hosting. Outdoors, the property offers a serene retreat with a pool surrounded by towering trees and thick bamboo.

The purchase marks a new chapter for the supermodel, whose $7 million Los Angeles mansion was destroyed by fire in March 2024.

The blaze tore through the property, leaving it roofless, with the second floor reduced to ruins and the ground level cluttered with debris.

She ultimately sold the wrecked property at a $2.4 million loss, according to Realtor.com. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the incident.

Delevingne had been in London at the time, performing in the West End production of “Cabaret,” and her pets were confirmed safe.

Reflecting on the incident, Delevingne explained that her sobriety allowed her to cope with the devastating loss of her home in a healthier way.

“It sucks but everyone was safe and, like anything, if I’d not been sober I would still be reeling over that,” she told The Times. “It would still affect me really deeply.”

While she admits the loss remains painful, the model emphasized that she refuses to dwell on it, choosing instead to focus on moving forward.

“Of course it affected me, it’s super sad … it never won’t be. But I don’t use it as a tool to keep myself sad,” Delevingne said.

Her parents, Pandora and Charles Delevingne, also spoke about the house fire. Charles explained that it was likely triggered by “electrical” issues, noting that “something fell on a powerline” during a period of “very windy” weather conditions in the area.

Pandora, meanwhile, expressed concern for her daughter at the time, saying she believed the “Suicide Squad” was “probably devastated” given how much she had invested in her home.

In April, officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department announced that the investigation into the blaze at Delevingne’s former home had concluded with the cause remaining “undetermined,” according to TMZ.

Authorities confirmed that foul play was not suspected, noting that no witnesses had seen anything unusual and no forensic evidence surfaced to point investigators in any clear direction.

Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange told the AP that one firefighter had been hospitalized in fair condition with an unspecified injury, while another individual inside the house at the time was treated for minor smoke inhalation.

Prange explained that crews arrived to find the fire raging through the back portion of the mansion, with a room and attic already engulfed in flames. After ensuring the residence was cleared, firefighters shifted to a defensive strategy as the roof collapsed. It ultimately took crews more than two hours to fully extinguish the inferno.
